Frequently Asked Questions

At Learning Tree Academy, we use a security system, which allows us to control who enters the building. Each family has its own code of access.

We also have a comprehensive Emergency Plan tailored to our location. Effective training is key to responding appropriately in an emergency. We have been trained by the best.

We do not provide meals at this time. Families provide meals and snacks for their children in accordance with our nutrition guidelines and allergy safety policies.

We will ask you to fill out the allergy form for your child and will make any necessary accommodations to keep your child safe with us. Per New Jersey Licensing, parents are required to provide written documentation of their child's food allergy, along with a completed health care plan and physician authorization.

All allergy information is clearly posted/displayed in classrooms and communicated to all staff members working with the child. We take additional preventative measures to reduce the risk of exposure, including supervised meals and snacks, careful food handling, handwashing routines, and thorough cleaning of eating areas. Families are asked to clearly label all food brought from home and to notify the school promptly of any changes to allergy or medication information.

We will ask you to complete a medication form with all the necessary information to administer your child's medication. Medications should be in their original packaging and must be prescribed to the child.

Our children's well-being is our top priority. If your child becomes ill, has a very high fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or is exhibiting any other symptoms of a contagious illness, you will be notified and asked to pick the child up. In cases requiring medication, we ask that the child return to our care only after finishing medication and 24 hours without fever. Illnesses are dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

Parents will receive an email invitation from Procare to access the app.
